Value of Implementation
Complying with the ASML Global Supplier Audit (GSA) offers numerous benefits for additive manufacturing suppliers. It ensures strict quality control, standardizes processes across suppliers, enhances market competitiveness, and streamlines audits and certifications. The collaboration between ASML and Qualified AM in developing and updating the GSA keeps standards relevant and aligned with the latest AM advancements, fostering continuous improvement. Compliance also helps mitigate risks, boost customer confidence, and improve the reliability and resilience of the production process and supply chain, ultimately supporting sustained success in the semiconductor industry.
Qualified AM`s role and activity as the global standard setter:
In 2022, the ASML Global Supplier Assessment (GSA) framework was established, marking the beginning of a structured approach to supplier qualification in additive manufacturing. This included the drafting phase of the ISO/ASTM 529xx standard series.
That same year, the first audits of ASML suppliers were conducted. In December 2023, the first ASML GSA test audits took place, leading to the initial certifications in 2024.
By 2025, five additive manufacturing suppliers are expected to be certified under the ASML GSA framework.
Gregor Reischle contributed significantly to the development and implementation of the GSA framework, particularly in the areas of standard alignment and audit methodology
